I think you will all be shocked by the changes in GC. I hope that a new fervor and passion comes upon you to invite your unsaved friends to church this week. It’s going to be our best year yet. So get ready for some new wine!

See you Thursday night!

Happy New Years!

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

Hey everybody! Happy New Years Eve, Eve! (the eve before new year’s eve) Just some thoughts, this afternoon, as we embark onto 2009.

What’s your word for 2009? What is God saying to you, personally? Don’t know, you better start asking. Get a direction for your year.

With the recession and all… don’t get caught up in the all the negative talk flying around. Get caught up in the word of God and in seeking after His righteousness and His kingdom. Seek those, the rest will come in after.

How are you going to be better in 2009? In other words, you don’t want to be the same in ‘09 as you were in ‘08. Why? Because we are always striving to be more like Jesus. So what are you going to do to become more like Jesus in 2009? Write them down and live to change.

Who are you bringing into the Kingdom of God? And who are you discipling? Better write those down too.

NO GC this week see you, January 8th, 2009 for the first GC of ‘09!

No GC for 2 weeks?!

Friday, December 19, 2008

That’s right, no gc for 2 weeks. December 25, 2008 and January 1, 2009 there will be no GC. But starting January 8, 2009 is the re-vamped, re-tooled GC. We are making some changes to GC and you will come back to a whole new world! Or something like that.

Here are some things you can do in the meantime:
1) Have a connect group new year’s day party!
2) Pray and read your bible while on Christmas Break
3) Start planning on who you will bring to GC in 3 weeks.
4) Have lots of fun.
5) Pray for snow in San Diego.
